Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federally funded part-time job program for college students. The program creates employment opportunities for students to earn funds to assist with their educational expenses. Students must receive the award from Financial Aid each academic year to work, and they must be paid hourly for actual hours worked. Funding is split 75% FWS 25% Department, which saves departments significantly on their budgets.

Only Georgia Tech student recipients of a Federal Work-Study Award administered by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid are eligible to be employed in FWS positions. Learn more here.
